Training Requirements
Full-Time Employees
Only full-time employees are eligible for the training program.
At Least 8 Hours
A minimum of 8 hours of training is required for each participant.
90 Days Retention
90 days retention is required for each training participant
Attendance Roster
Employers must provide proof that training hours have been completed.
Re-Training/Classroom Training
Nursing Skills Training may consist of only classroom training for new graduates and experienced Nurses via one of these options:
a) Training is performed by DSD (in-house) and/or
b) Training is performed by contract employees of the School.
c) Company may refer trainers.
d) Schedule: Day/Evening shift.
Re-Training/Clinical Training with Preceptor - 100%
Preceptor Training is training by a Preceptor/Mentor where the trainee observes hands-on skills performed by a registered or vocational nurse.
Training may consist of 100% Preceptor Skills
a)Training is performed by facility staff (Charge Nurses) during working hours through observation and mentoring.
b) Schedule: Day and Evening shifts
Re-Training/Classroom Training
Nursing Skills Training may consist of only classroom training for new graduates and experienced Nurses via one of these options:
a) Training is performed by DSD (in-house) and/or
b) Training is performed by contract employees of the School.

d) Schedule: Day/Evening shift.
Re- Training /Clinical Training with Instructor
Nursing Skills Training may consist of only clinical training with instructor
for new graduates and experienced nurses.
a) Training is performed by facility teaching for the School after hours and/or
b) Training is performed by contract employees of the School.
c) Company may refer trainers.
d) Schedule: Day and Evening shifts.
ETP Minimum Wage: $25

Newly-Hired Employees- Job Creation
Training for newly-hired employees will be subject to a lower post-retention wage. With the passage of SB 97, the Company must expand its workforce and begin hiring and training net new hires to meet the new compliance standards.

Train the Trainer
RNs and LVNs will receive hands-on (Clinical with Preceptor) training to demonstrate efficiencies of advanced clinical process learned in the classroom (Didactic).
